CapCut and your company’s data

By David Michaelson, MS Last checked October 24, 2026

The short answer

CapCut’s US privacy policy says it uses your videos, images, and other content to train and improve its machine learning models, and the policy we read names no setting to turn that off.

Safer setup: Keep customer faces, names, and private footage out of CapCut, and use it only for content you would post publicly anyway.

The five answers

Each answer comes from CapCut’s own policy or help pages, with the link and the date we read it. Setting names are quoted exactly as CapCut writes them.

We could not confirm 2 answers on CapCut’s own pages. Those answers say so in plain words and link to the page we checked.
