Gamma and your company’s data

By David Michaelson, MS Last checked October 24, 2026

The short answer

On Free, Plus, Pro, and Ultra, Gamma uses your content to improve its AI unless you opt out in Data Controls; Team, Business, and Enterprise content is never used.

Safer setup: Turn off AI training in Data Controls on every individual account, or use Gamma Business for client decks.

Plan by plan

Each answer comes from Gamma’s own policy or help pages, with the link and the date we read it. Setting names are quoted exactly as Gamma writes them.

How long your data is kept

Gamma keeps personal information as long as it needs it for the reasons it was collected, including legal, accounting, and reporting duties, legal claims, and fraud prevention. When it no longer needs it, it deletes it, anonymizes it, or isolates it.
