Fathom and your company’s data
By David Michaelson, MS Last checked October 23, 2026
The short answer
Fathom does not let outside AI companies train on your meetings, but it uses de-identified meeting data to train its own AI models unless you opt out; on a Teams plan, an admin can opt out everyone at once.
Safer setup: Opt out of AI training in My Settings, or for everyone in Organization Settings on a Teams plan. When you share a recording, choose “Only people added can view.”
Plan by plan
