Grok and your company’s data
By David Michaelson, MS Last checked October 23, 2026
The short answer
SpaceXSI says it does not train on business data from its API customers; in the Grok app and on Grok.com, your chats may be used to train models unless you turn off “Improve the model” or use Private Chat.
Safer setup: Turn off “Improve the model” and use Private Chat for anything sensitive. For business data, use the API under SpaceXSI’s Enterprise Terms, which SpaceXSI says it does not train on.
